- If you cancel 30 days prior to departure, the deposit is refundable
- 14 to 29 days prior 75% refund of full payment
- 8 to 14 days prior 50% refund
- 0 to 7 days prior no refund unless due to medical conditions.

Journey by 4WD, relax and enjoy a trip deep into the desert of the Pitjantjatjara Lands of Central Australia.
On arrival we will be greeted by our Anangu host. The Anangu are the traditional owners of Cave Hill, which is the site of the Seven Sisters Tjukurpa (creation time), and are responsible for maintaining only that chapter of the Songline lying within the boundaries of their traditional homeland – a story that has been maintained since the beginning of time.
The highlight of the tour is the magnificent cave paintings - possibly the most significant art site in Central Australia. The drama of the Seven Sisters creation story is graphically illustrated on the ceiling of the cave. Climb to the top of Cave Hill to admire a 360-degree panoramic of the surrounding countryside, including Uluru 100kms away, Mount Conner and the imposing Musgrave Ranges.
You will discuss Tjukurpa and the Songlines and learn their relevance to Anangu life in the desert. You will investigate traditional food gathering and the preparation of desert bush tucker delights. After lunch we head back to Ayers Rock Resort arriving late afternoon.
A helicopter flight is available at an additional cost if you wish to follow the desert trails and enjoy the majesty of Uluru from the air, arriving back at the resort early afternoon.

About the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankuntjatjara Lands
The Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankuntjatjara (APY) Lands are in the far north-west of South Australia, the border of which is located approximately 100 km south of Ayers Rock Resort (which is in the Northern Territory). Returned to the traditional owners under Freehold Title in 1981, the Lands are home to Pitjantjatjara and Yankuntjatjara people (Anangu). The region has ten major communities—with populations ranging from 100–350 people—and many family homelands. APY Lands encompass the majestic Musgrave Ranges (which include SA's highest peak), the towering monoliths of the Everards, idyllic woodlands and beautiful red-sand country. This is a region that resonates with tjukurpa, with creation stories: the same stories that underpin the world's oldest surviving culture. Casual access to the Lands without a permit is not allowed.
